Historic Buildings Services

Practical, research-led support for historic buildings and heritage assets

I provide specialist historic buildings and planning advice across England and Wales, supporting proposals affecting listed buildings, scheduled monuments, and other designated heritage assets. I help clients navigate the planning system, including applications for Listed Building Consent.

I can prepare research-led Statements of Significance and Heritage Impact Assessments (or Heritage Statements) that articulate heritage value and assess the impact of proposed change. These draw on historic building appraisal, analysis of fabric and development, and desk-based and archival research, ensuring compliance with national policy (NPPF, Planning Policy Wales) and local authority guidance.

In addition, I can undertake detailed research into historic houses and estates, supporting planning submissions, conservation management, and long-term stewardship.

I offer a range of service packages alongside bespoke advice. Please contact me to discuss your project and how I can help.
